What is Parelli?

The philosophy of Parelli Natural Horsemanship is based on the idea of ​​equidae as a partner and aims to improve the lives of equidae and the people who stay with them. It is NOT a type of riding nor a discipline in itself.

It is a basic training for man and donkey, which is based on mutual communication. It doesn't matter if English or Western, if you want to go for walks or horseback riding: establishing a partnership, a relationship of trust and respect, is the basis of any goal.

Parelli has discovered over the years that it is not only necessary to train equidae, but it is more effective and long-lasting to help people be savvy with them.

Savvy is the deep knowledge and understanding of equidae; is knowing how to communicate with them both from the ground and in the saddle. How?

Making the psychology of prey understandable, explaining behaviors and reactions from their point of view.

Developing an educational program for people, which progressively simplifies and guides them in learning the correct language to be able to communicate with donkeys and its application in daily life.

The program is based on four learning areas called "Savvy":

• ON LINE (work with the rope from the ground)

• LIBERTY (without rope from the ground)

• FREESTYLE (riding without constant contact with the reins)

• FINESSE (fit with contact)

From Parelli's point of view, the Horse-Man-Ship is the path that men and donkeys face together, it is much more than training a donkey: becoming a Natural Horseman involves working on yourself to earn the trust and respect of donkeys.
